The police log: fox sighting; a loose pit bull

The following are excerpts from arrest and incident logs provided by the Milton Police Department. All suspects are presumed to be not guilty until proven otherwise in a court of law.

On March 25 at 10:31 a.m., a caller reported that a suspicious, dark colored vehicle was driving on Sumner Street. Officers reported that a small amount of marijuana was confiscated from the vehicle and destroyed.

At 4:33 p.m. a caller reported that he was the victim of a robbery and was sprayed with Mace. The suspects were two white males in a light blue, 2002 BMW 3 series. Fallon Ambulance brought the victim to Milton Hospital.

At 7:36 p.m. a caller from the Cunningham Foundation reported that there was a small brush fire burning in Cunningham Park near the barn. The Fire Department was notified to respond and handle. Police units were also sent to area. No youth activity was seen, but officers were advised to monitor the area.

At 11:43 p.m. a caller on Curtis Road reported that her mother and brother got into an argument. The caller reported that the brother threw a doorknob at his younger brother and left the house in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned, 16-year-old male. Officers reported that the teen might have a knife in his possession. Officers found the teen at 2:44 a.m.

On March 27 at 1:31 p.m., a caller on Laurel Road reported that a back window in her house was smashed.

At 9:15 p.m. a caller on Norman Street reported seeing a fox in the area. The caller said the fox looked sick or injured. An officer reported that they searched the area, but could not locate the animal.

On March 28 at 11:14 a.m., a caller reported that a person at the gas station would not pay for gas. Officers spoke with both the clerk and the suspect in question. A report was filed.

At 1:12 p.m. a stolen motor vehicle was recovered at Adams and Eliot streets. One person was placed under arrest. During the prisoner’s booking, he was handed a restraining order.

On March 29 at 7:38 p.m., a caller reported that a fox was in her front yard on Cary Avenue. An officer reported that he searched the area and found nothing.

At 10:08 p.m. a caller on Belvoir Road reported that the first-floor resident is smoking marijuana. An officer reported the call to be unfounded.

On March 30 at 1:51 a.m., a patrol officer witnessed a male breaking into a motor vehicle. The suspect fled on foot and was described as a white male wearing jeans and a blue hoodie. The Braintree Police Department was contacted. One adult male was apprehended and charged with breaking and entering in the night time for felony, wanton destruction of property, and resisting arrest. The prisoner was held for court.

At 2:10 p.m. a woman on Audubon Road reported that she found a backpack on her property. An officer reported that the bag had cleaning supplies in it. The item was brought back to the station.

At 2:34 p.m. the 911 dispatcher received numerous calls to report a motor vehicle accident. Ambulance and fire were notified. Two people were brought to Boston Medical Center.

At 6:02 p.m. a caller on Squantum Street reported that she fell out of a two-story window. Fire and ambulance were notified. Fallon Ambulance brought one person to Boston Medical Center.

At 6:35 p.m. a caller reported that a pit bull was loose while children were playing in the neighborhood near Blue Hill Avenue and Aberdeen Road. An officer reported that the pit bull was gone on arrival.

On March 31 at 10:40 a.m., a caller reported approximately 20 to 30 used syringes in the wooded area at Longmeadow Road and Saddle Ridge Road. Fallon Ambulance was notified and disposed of the items.
