To further complicate the situation, every Town Meeting member must run for reelection next year.
Explaining it all on Milton Access Television will be Town Clerk James Mullen, a guest of Milton Republican TV’s latest cable broadcast, “Redistricting Milton,“ to be aired on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. on Comcast channels 8, 10, and 22, or RCN channels 3, 13, and 15 throughout the summer.
Robert Hiss, chairman of the Milton Republican Town Committee, will lead Mullen through a discussion encompassing the redistricting process and its impact on Milton voters. Mullen recently completed the redistricting process for the town for the fourth time, Hiss said.
“Federal law mandates congressional districts be redrawn every 10 years,” Mullen said in a statement advertising the show. “Every precinct in Milton was affected this time; it will change Town Meeting representation.”
Mullen has more than 39 years of service in local government and is currently the town clerk and a Town Meeting member.
