The police log: cat with can on head; home egged
Here are some incidents reported to the Milton Police Department last week and over the weekend. A full list is available at police headquarters, 40 Highland St.
On Nov. 24 at 10:03 a.m., a caller from Allerton Road reported finding a cat with a can stuck on its head. The officer who responded to the scene was able to remove the can, and the cat was fine.
On Nov. 25 at 12:34 p.m. on Hillside Street, a caller reported seeing a dog that may have been foaming at the mouth. The town's animal control officer was notified.
On Nov. 26 at 8:19 a.m., a resident on Lincoln Street reported that his home had been egged at some point the night before.
Later that day at 8:34 p.m., a caller on Edgehill Road reported hearing shots near Cunningham Park. The officer who responded did not find anything indicating shots were fired, but said the sound may have come from a transformer that blew in the area.
On Nov. 27 at 12:29 p.m., a caller from Wharf Street reported a person with his or her head stuck in a nearby bridge. Police notified Fallon Ambulance and Milton Fire. Fallon transported the person to Milton Hospital.
Later that day, a caller on Houston Avenue reported a car on fire at 6:11 p.m. Milton Fire was notified and responded to the incident. Police reported that the vehicle owner was on site and that the fire did not appear suspicious.
