A month of teen programming at the Milton library
Starting July 10, Milton teens can enjoy a month full of library events, including a Reader’s Cafe, a comic book workshop, and a showing of “The Dark Knight.”

Reader’s Cafe: As part of the library’s summer reading program, “Own the Night,” a “Reader’s Cafe” will be held July 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. for students in Grades 6 through 12. Calkins will review new titles in the library’s young adult collection, and teens will have a chance to share what they are reading this summer. Advance registration is recommended, visit www.miltonlibrary.org to sign up.
Movie Showing: In anticipation of the July 20 release of the movie, “The Dark Knight Rises,” the library will host a screening of “The Dark Knight” on July 13 at 2:30 p.m. Note, the film is rated PG-13. Snacks will be served and registration is not required.
Comic Book Workshop: On July 17 at 6 p.m., the library will offer a free comic book workshop with comic artists Andy and Veronica Fish. The workshop will cover a brief history of comics and feature a hands-on, how-to workshop about storytelling and techniques. Space in this workshop is limited to 25 participants; visit www.miltonlibrary.org to register.
