The Town of Milton recently launched what it calls “an improved” Geographic Information Systems viewer through the town website and will hold a training session on July 11 on how to use the documents provided.

According to a memo from the town, the new viewer allows the public to see and print parcel data, utility infrastructure locations, public tree locations, and other information such as aerial photos and flood plain maps.

The site can be used from anyone with an Internet connection and includes custom-sized printable maps.

To access the documents, visit www.townofmilton.org then go to the bottom link in the “Quick Links” box on the left hand side of the page.

Allan Bishop of the engineering department will run the training July 11 at 2 p.m. at the Milton Public LIbrary, 476 Canton Ave. For more information or questions prior to the training, contact Bishop at abishop@townofmilton.org.
