The Milton Police Log: dead hawks and a fallen dumpster
The following are excerpts from arrest and incident logs provided by the Milton Police Department. All suspects are presumed to be not guilty until proven otherwise in a court of law. A full list is available at police headquarters, 40 Highland St.
On July 11 at 11:15 a.m., a caller at Cunningham Park on Edge Hill Road reported two dead hawks. Police notified the town’s animal control officer of the dead animals.
Then at 12:12 p.m., a Milton officer reported that he or she stopped a motorcycle without a license plate on Brook Road. The driver was cited and Blue Hills Towing was called the remove the bike.
Then at 5:49 p.m., a caller on Patricia Drive reported a fire on his back deck. Milton Fire was called to respond and reported that the fire was minor and handled quickly.
On July 10 at 5:24 a.m., a caller reported a water main break on Pond Street near Sunnyside Road. The town sent out a notice about the incident and told residents to expect rust-colored water while the leak was being fixed.
On July 9 at 11:12 a.m., a caller on Martin Street reported that a Fed Ex truck had crashed into some wires. Police notified Verizon about the situation.
Then at 7:47 p.m., a caller reported an abandoned car parked near a fire hydrant on Brush Hill Road. The car was reported stolen to the Boston Police Department earlier this month.
On July 6 at 9:03 a.m., a resident walked into the station to turn in a bicycle he or she found near Granite Place. The bike is green and silver and is being kept at the station.
Then at 10:31 a.m. that day, a caller on Canton Avenue reported that a dumpster fell on a man’s leg. Fallon Ambulance responded and transported one person to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
