The Milton police log: Motorcycle accident; car into a fence
Milton police responded to a number of calls this week -- some routine, others a bit out of the ordinary. Here’s a look at a few of the more noteworthy ones. All suspects are presumed to be not guilty until proven otherwise in a court of law. A full list is available at 40 Highland St.
On Tuesday, two motorcycles were involved in an accident on Blue Hills Parkway around 12:35 a.m. According to the logs, Fallon Ambulance was called to transport one person to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton and a second person to Carney Hospital.
On Wednesday at 12:09 p.m., a resident on Pope Hill Road reported that her stove was leaking gas and possibly sparking. Police notified Milton Fire, which responded and reportedly handled the situation. Not injuries or damage was reported.
Later that afternoon, a woman walked into the station to report that she had witnessed a car hit a fence on Canton Avenue and then drive away. Police took a report of the incident but no charges have been filed.
On Thursday at 1:18 a.m., Quincy Police asked for Milton’s help in locating a suspect wanted for breaking into a vehicle in their town. Together the two agencies located one person matching the description at a residence on Belcher Circle. Quincy Police arrested the person.
Then at 8:12 p.m. that night, a caller living on Craig Street reported that someone was trying to open her back door. Police arrived and searched the area and reported that they spoke with four youths hanging out at the Pope’s Pond Bridge.
