What's happening in Milton this week
Here’s a quick look at events and happenings taking place in Milton this week.
Step Dancing: St. Michael’s, 112 Randolph Ave. will hold a step dancing class Saturday at 9 a.m. A partner or prior experience is not needed.
Book Sale: The Friends of Milton Public Library will hold a book shop sale Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. in the library, 476 Canton Ave.
Student Athletes: Clearance cards, required for all students interested in trying out for fall sports, are being distributed Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students must bring proof of academic eligibility from the previous year, a signed physical form, a $250 check made payable to “MHS Athletics” or the receipt from an online payment, a signed parent permission form, a completed copy of the “Concussion Reporting Sheet,” and confirmation or a parental “concussion course certification.”
Sketching Workshop: Artist Anne Schmalz, will hold a basic sketching workshop at the Neponset River near 25 Adams St. on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Supplies will be provided but participants should bring a folding chair to sit on. Reservations are required and interested participants should call 617-542-7696 or email info@bostonnatural.org.
Trivia: Milton seniors are invited to participate in educational trivia Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Council on Aging building, 10 Walnut St.
Free Yoga: St. Michaels, 112 Randolph Ave. will hold a free yoga class Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
