What's happening in Milton this week
Here’s a quick look at events and happenings taking place in Milton this week.
Schools: Milton Public Schools students return to class Wednesday and Thursday. Schools are closed Friday and Monday for the Labor Day holiday. Preschool and kindergarten classes will begin next week.
Teen Movie: The Milton Public Library teen services department is taking votes on what after-school movie should be shown Sept. 14. Teens can view trailers of the movies and vote for their favorites at www.miltonlibrary.org/teen.asp.
Adult Education: Milton is looking for teachers interested in leading an adult education course this fall. Email Sean Walsh at swalsh@miltonps.org by Sept. 1 to propose a course for the fall brochure. Classes are held Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays and teachers are paid for class and prep time.
Small Wonders: The Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Ave. will hold a “Small Wonders” class Wednesday at 10 a.m. for young children.
Free Yoga: St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 112 Randolph Ave. will offer a free yoga class for interested Milton residents on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Film Screening: The Milton library will host a screening of the documentary “I Am,” a film about one man’s quest for enlightenment on Thursday. The movie will start at 6:30 p.m.
