What's happening in Milton this week

Here’s a quick look at events and happenings taking place in Milton this week.

Meetings: The Planning Board will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Carol Blue conference room.

Open House: Fontbonne Academy will hold an open house Sunday, Sept. 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. Contact admissions@fontbonneacademy.org or call 617-615-3014 for any questions prior to the event. The campus is located at 930 Brook Rd.

Small Wonders workshop: The Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Ave. will hold a “Small Wonders” workshop Wednesday at 10 a.m. for young Milton residents. This is a lapsit program and does not require registration.

Educational Trivia: The Council on Aging, 10 Walnut St., will hold an educational trivia event Wednesday at 1 p.m. for all area seniors.

Health Workshop: The Council on Aging will also hold a free “Serving Health Information Needs of Elders” workshop Thursday at 9 a.m.

Nature Day: The Blue Hills Trailside Museum, 1904 Canton Ave. will hold a nature workshop called “Fledglings” on Thursday at 10 a.m. The cost is $14 and children will participate in short nature lessons, crafts, songs, nature walks, and animal encounters. No more than three children per adult are allowed and children under 12-months-old are free.
