A Milton couple charged in connection to a massive Labor Day weekend party thrown at their home on Mark Lane will be arraigned in Quincy District Court Nov. 28.
Steve Mathieu and his wife, Sharon, who police say were at the party, are charged with selling alcohol without a license.
Police say the party of about 1,500 people was not illegal, but selling alcohol without a license is. They also said that the 350 to 400 cars that filled the streets posed a public safety threat if emergency vehicles had needed to get through.
The Sept. 1 party was advertised on Twitter and dubbed a “Make It Nasty Mansion Pool Party.” Organizers charged guests $15 to $20 and police found evidence of a bar-like set up.
“We were able to determine that (party organizers) had rented the pool from the homeowner and that they were actively selling alcohol," Police Chief Richard Wells said. "We saw the registers and we have the liquor list."
