The Manor House at the Polly Wakefeld Estate in Milton will hold a fund-raising event Sunday to support the group, Citizens for Community Preservation.

The group is campaigning for the support of Milton voters to vote “Yes” on the Nov. 6 ballot question of whether or not the town should approve the Community Preservation Act.

Milton Town Meeting members approved a warrant article in May which required a vote in November that if approved, would create a local, dedicated fund for historic preservation, open space, community housing, and outdoor recreation projects.

Tickets to the Sunday event will include a tour of the house and the gardens created by Polly Wakefield, a Davenport descendent, a news release said.

Admission is $30 per person, $50 for two people and tickets will be sold at the door or online at www.preservemilton.org/events.

The estate is located at 1465 Brush Hill Road across from Fuller Village and next to the Thatcher Montessori School. Tours will take place at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
