Some Milton residents are still without power but emergency crews finished clearing roads of downed trees by Tuesday.

However, there is still quite a bit of debris on the sides of roads and at public parks which will most likely take the rest of the week to remove, police said Tuesday.

No storm related injuries were reported and police that most residents heeded advise to stay home.

According to a memo on the police Facebook page, this allowed officers "to be swift and effective," in their response to calls they did receive.

Milton schools and Town Hall reopened Tuesday morning for normal hours and activities scheduled for the day went on as normal.

In addition, Monday's town meeting was rescheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the high school, 25 Gile Rd.

Residents still without Verizon service are asked to call 800-837-4966 or log onto www.verizon.com/support.
