Since Veteran’s Day is on a Sunday this year, most of Milton, including organizers of the town’s annual parade, will wait until Monday, Nov. 12 to hold observances.

Milton’s municipal departments will also observe Veteran’s Day Nov. 12 and all trash and recycling collections for the week will be delayed one day.

The Holiday Celebration Committee will hold a parade at 10:30 a.m. starting at Milton High School, 25 Gile Rd. Participants will march out of the school and down Canton Avenue to Town Hall.

Once at Town Hall, the town’s observance ceremony will start, most likely at 11 a.m.

Service organizations, churches, and scouts are invited to join town officials during the ceremony.

For more information about the event or the Nov. 12 closures contact 617-898-4900.
