Milton police log: Jan. 7 - 13

Monday, Jan. 7
Accident: At 10:39 a.m., police responded to a thee-car accident at the intersection of Blue Hills Parkway and Warren Avenue. One person was transported to Milton Hospital.

Assault: At 12:26 p.m., police received a report of assault and battery from a Canton Avenue business. The caller reported he was assaulted by an employee.

Theft: At 9:41 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Maple Street residence. A Fedex package valued at $120 was taken from the front of the house.

Tuesday, Jan. 8
Accident: At 8:23 a.m., police responded to an accident on Randolph Avenue in which a vehicle struck a pole. One person was transported to Beth Israel Milton Hospital.

Drug violation: At 12:19 p.m., police responded to a narcotic violation on Pine Grove Street.

Malicious damage: At 8:30 p.m., police received a report of malicious damage to a vehicle of a Lincoln Street resident. The resident had an argument with his ex-wife’s husband and the vehicle received a dent on its hood.

Wednesday, Jan. 9
Theft: At 2:41 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a Sheldon Street resident. Jewelry was missing.

Police information: At 4:13 p.m., police received a call from a Milton Hospital medical staff member saying a patient had come in stating they had been stabbed in the town of Randolph.

Thursday, Jan. 10
Attempted housebreaks: Police received reports of three attempted housebreaks – two on Briarfield Street and one on Eliot Street – between the hours of 1:14 p.m. and 2:17 p.m. Police discovered a broken basement window at one of the Briarfield homes. Two juvenile suspects from Hyde Park received court summonses with charges for one count of breaking and entering linked to the Briarfield address.

Friday, Jan. 11
Theft: At 8:29 a.m., police received a report of theft at a Blue Hill Avenue residence. Cash and medication were reported missing.

Accident: At 3:44 p.m., police responded to an accident at the intersection of Randolph Avenue and Hallen Avenue involving four motor vehicles. One vehicle was traveling northbound when it stopped suddenly and was struck from behind. The vehicle then was pushed into the southbound lane and struck the other vehicles. Two people were transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Milton.

Arrest: At 10:52 p.m., police arrested Cameron Flaherty, 20, of Milton and charged him for being a person under 21 in possession of liquor. The arrest was made on Randolph Avenue.

Update: Upon completion of the pre-trial diversion program, all charges were dropped by the court and Flaherty's record was expunged.


Housebreak: At 11:55 p.m., police received a report of a housebreak on Harland Street. The burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear basement door. Missing are an iPad, a Nook, and some jewelry.

Saturday, Jan. 12
Accident: At 12:43 a.m., police responded to an accident at the intersection of Brush Hill Road and Neponset Valley Place in which a vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The operator declined treatment and the vehicle was towed away.

Theft: At 11:18 a.m., police received a report of theft from a Forbes Road resident. Bank fraud.

Housebreak: At 12:35 p.m., police received a report of breaking and entering at a Russell Street residence.
