In just its first year as a team, the Milton High School swim team had some high performers at the end of the season.

The group practiced throughout the season and concluded the season by competing in a meet against Thayer Academy and St. George’s varsity swim teams.

Freshman Emma Heller took first place in the 200-yard freestyle and first place in 50-yard breaststroke. Freshman Leah Corcoran took fourth place in the 50-yard butterfly and fourth place in the 100-yard medley. Freshman Tyler Volpe Knock took fifth place in the 50-yard backstroke. Junior Matt O’Sullivan took fifth place in the 50-yard freestyle.

The high school swimmers are grateful to the Weymouth Club for the use of their facility and Coach Jack Focarelli.

The group is hoping to develop into a varsity team over the next couple of years.
