Milton police log: April 29 to May 5

The following information was taken from the Milton police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, April 29
Accident: At 8:01 a.m., police responded to an accident at the intersection of Herrick Drive and School Street. A truck caught wires on a utility pole, which had to be repaired.

Tuesday, April 30
Break-in: At 5:05 a.m., police received a report of a break-in at East Milton Package Store on Granite Avenue. The back door was pried open to gain entry and a safe on the lower level was broken into. Cash was taken.

Break-in: At 7:02 a.m., police received a report of a break-in at Milton Cleaners on Granite Avenue. A lock to a back door was picked and cash was reported missing from a cash register.

Theft: At 9:08 a.m., police received a report of a theft from Mellie Hair Salon on Granite Avenue. A jacket valued at $500 was taken.

Wednesday, May 1
Arrest: At 12:29 p.m., police arrested Elizabeth Olivieri, 18, of Weymouth on a warrant out of Quincy District Court. The arrest was made on Church Street.

Theft: At 9:33 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle break-in on Denmark Avenue. A black jacket, an iPhone charger, some cologne, and four concert tickets valued at $250 each were taken. The vehicle was undamaged.

Thursday, May 2
Theft: At 11:45 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a postal inspector’s vehicle on Garden Street. Handcuffs, a portable GPS unit, and other work-related items were taken.

Theft: At 12:05 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Cabot Street. A phone valued at $750 and a golf mat valued at $50 were taken. The vehicle was unlocked.

Saturday, May 4
Robbery: At 2:15 a.m., police received a report of a Curry College student robbed at gunpoint on Dana Avenue. A wallet, cell phone, and rugby bag were taken by two assailants.

Theft: At 11:31 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Marr Crest Drive. Prescription sunglasses were taken and the vehicle was unlocked.

Theft: At 12:39 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Father Carney Drive. Two vehicles in a driveway were entered, and change was taken from one of them. Both vehicles were unlocked and personal items were recovered on Forbes Road that police suspect were discarded by the thief.

Fraud: At 2:24 p.m., police received a report of identity fraud from a Sheridan Drive resident. A credit card was fraudulently used at a Target store in South Boston.

Theft: At 11:44 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Laurel Road. A wallet, ATM card, and driver’s license were taken, with other items discarded throughout the neighborhood.

Sunday, May 5
Theft: At 1:48 a.m., police received a report of a vehicle break-in on Audubon Road. A white iTouch was taken.

Theft: At 3:40 p.m., police received a report of a theft from two vehicles on West Side Road. Change and several rolls of quarters were taken from one of the vehicles and neither vehicle was damaged.

Break-in: At 5:54 p.m., police received a report of a break-in on Blue Hills Parkway. Two men attempted to get in a home by a rear door, but fled upon finding the occupant at home. Nothing appeared to be taken.

Theft: At 6:33 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Morton Terrace. Chocolates were taken. The vehicle received no damage.

Theft: At 9:26 p.m., police received a report of theft of cash from Steele and Rye on Eliot Street. An employee was found to be at fault and agreed to make restitution.
