Police arrested two brothers on Canton Avenue after a violent fight at their Canton Street home.

Nnamdi Ihenetu, 20, of Milton was trying to enter his Canton Street home on Wednesday, Aug. 14. His brother and father would not let him inside because of past issues with violence, according to police.

Ihenetu smashed a mailbox and the door to the house in the process of trying to get inside. He punched his brother and father and both received lacerations to their faces, police said.

Police arrived after the father called 911, and took Ihenetu into custody. He was charged with domestic assault and battery, malicious destruction of property, and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana after police found the substance in his backpack.

While his brother was being taken into custody, Chidera Ihenetu, 24, of Milton, who had been a victim of the assault, retaliated against his brother, police said. Chidera Ihenetu was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
