Dirty Dog dancing in Natick
A canine of a decidedly larger kind will romp through ‘‘Harry the Dirty Dog’’ in Natick on Saturday afternoon.
In this musical based on the classic children’s book, actress Misti Coop stars as floppy-eared pup Harry, who just won’t take a bath. All goes well until Harry gets so dirty that his owners don’t recognize him.
The show is one of many produced by a much-lauded theater company, ArtsPower. The New Jersey nonprofit features Equity actors and Broadway talent in witty, original productions that tour nationally.
Every show’s goal is twofold: Expose children to top-notch musical theater and inspire them to read. Every ArtsPower production is based on a book.
