The following is based on a statement released by CA Technologies:

CA Technologies employees in Framingham will take time out of their regular business day to volunteer at Natick Community Organic Farm as part of the company's annual Earth Day celebration, according to company representatives.

Since 1974, the Natick Community Organic Farm has introduced thousands of students, volunteers and community members to the importance of open productive space and organic agriculture through hands-on educational programs, said CA Technologies, which specializes in IT management software and solutions.

CA Technologies volunteers will be composting and planting gardens around the farm, promoting ecological and sustainable farming methods, and helping to prepare the grounds for summer programs.

The employees will volunteer from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the farm, located on Eliot Street in Natick.

The Framingham event is part of CA Technologies annual Earth Day celebration, with 40 "Green Week" community volunteer activities taking place across the globe, according to representatives.
