Natick High School is calling for nominations for its Herve B. Lemaire Award for Excellence in Education.
Each year, Natick High presents the Herve B. Lemaire award to a teacher, coach or administrator who has had an extraordinary impact on Natick students.
To qualify for selection, a nominee must have served for a minimum of five years at any public school in Natick.
The award is named in memory of Herve B. Lemaire, who served the town of Natick as a French and Latin teacher before becoming vice principal and then principal of Wilson Junior High School.
He served as principal from 1966 until his retirement in 1986. During Lemaire's tenure as principal of Wilson Junior High School, Wilson Junior High was recognized as one of the top 100 schools in the United States in a ceremony at the White House.
To nominate a teacher, coach or administrator for consideration for the Lemaire award, please send a letter to:
Natick High School Lemaire Award, 15 West St., Natick, MA 01760
Include the nominee’s name, address and email, and indicate why you feel this person should be considered for selection.
Nominations received by Sept. 7 will be considered for recognition on November 20. Nominations received after Sept. 7 will be carried over for consideration next year.
