Natick police arrested a man and a woman in the early hours of Tuesday morning for allegedly breaking into cars on Porter Road and stealing items.

A resident on Porter Road heard a car alarm sounding off at 2:35 a.m., and given the spate of vehicle break-ins recently, several officers responded to the scene, Natick police said.

While on a neighboring street, Natick police officer Michael Mabardy saw a man leaning into a car, and after investigating more, put Izzy Martinez, a Springfield resident, under arrest.

Officers also found Rebecca Bigelow, a Framingham resident, nearby and also placed her under arrest after questioning her.

Several items were recovered, and officers identified seven victims of the car break-ins.

The pair was held overnight and were arraigned in Natick District Court. An investigation into the matter continues, police said.
