"Better burgers" will be on the menu in Natick when Smashburger opens its first Greater Boston location on Dec. 11.
“We are thrilled to launch our better burger concept in the Boston area. Our burgers start with certified-angus beef, topped with ingredients like fresh sliced avocado and are served on butter-toasted artisan buns,” said Smashburger founder and chief concept officer Tom Ryan in a press release. “Our menu provides guests with the ability to try one of our signature creations or to get creative and build their own.”
Smashburger will open at the Sherwood Plaza on Route 9 in Natick. This is the first of 12 locations set to open in Boston over the next six years.
Smashburger's Angus Beef burgers, smashed on a 400-degree flat grill and served on toasted artisan buns, will be on the menu alongside regional specialties including the New Englander Burger, topped with cranberry sauce, grilled onions, and cranberry stilton. Other regional treats include the Cranberry BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar burger and the Spinach, Cucumber & Goat Cheese Chicken Sandwich.
Burgers can be paired with rosemary and garlic-seasoned Smashfries, haystack Onions and hand-spun Haagen-Dazs ® shakes. Alcoholic drinks will also be available.
Lighter dishes that come in at 600 calories or less will also be available, in addition to gluten-free buns, flash-fried Veggie Frites and organic beverages.
