Needham Library to show 'Alice in Wonderland'
The Needham Free Public Library will be showing "Alice in Wonderland – Part Two" on Friday, June 25, at 2 p.m., in the Community Room.
Nothing is quite right since Alice chased a very unusual White Rabbit and stumbled into an adventure that grows curiouser and curiouser in this 1985 TV edition. One of the greatest childhood fantasies is captured in Irwin Allen’s colorful production adapted from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Part Two of this two film set, opens with Alice escaping the disturbing Queen of Hearts, only to find that she has ended up on the other side of the looking glass. While in Looking Glass Land, Alice finds the Jabberwocky following her (a monster that appears due to her being afraid), which she attempts to avoid. With the advice of a wise owl and the royal chess pieces, she returns home, vowing to grow-up.
The G-rated movie lasts 90 minutes. This program is sponsored by the Needham Free Public Library. For further information, please call the Library at 781-455-7559.
