One of the larger projects for Needham 300’s tercentennial celebration this year is a town wide beautification program which will help the town look nicer for its birthday.

On April 23, Needham will hold a town-wide clean up day. Those willing to get involved can sign up individually or as a group, and will be spread out over town to help clean up several public locations.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Newman School at 8:30 a.m. for refreshments, and then will be sent to various locations to help clean up the town.

When the trash is cleaned up from each location, bags should be left at each site and town workers will pick them up.

Hundreds of volunteers will be needed to cover all the sites in town that the beautification committee has identified to be in need of a clean up.

To sign up individually or as a group, visit www.Needham300.org, and click on the volunteer link. In addition, those willing to volunteer can also contact Joe Quinnan at 781-929-0121 to sign up.
