New assisted living community opens in Needham

Avita of Needham, an assisted living community dedicated to residents with memory impairment, officially opened its doors last week with a grand opening celebration for the general public.

More than 100 guests were on hand to celebrate the opening, according to a press release.

The 49,000-square-foot community at 880 Greendale Ave. features 62 apartments, four themed gardens and amenities like a movie theater and a therapeutic brain gym. It was built by Callahan Construction and designed by The Architectural Team (TAT).
