Needham’s Art in Bloom 2012 will be held during the weekend of March 2, 3 and 4 all across town.

Mixed-media artwork by high school students and floral interpretations by members of the Beth Shalom Garden Club will be on display in Needham’s Town Hall, Senior Center, and Needham High School lobby on Friday, and the entire exhibit will be on display at the Needham Public Library on Saturday and Sunday.

Modeled after the annual springtime exhibit Art in Bloom presented by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Needham’s exhibit is now in its fourth year. Last year, more than 1,000 people visited the Needham Public Library to see the exhibit.

In June 2010, the Garden Club Federation of MA, Inc. awarded the state’s Special Achievement Award to the Beth Shalom Garden Club for its organization of Needham's Art in Bloom.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Viewing hours are: Friday, March 2, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Town Hall, the Senior Center and the High School; Saturday, March 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. at the library; and Sunday, March 4, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the library.
