To celebrate its 100 year anniversary, Needham-based Waldron Rand, the oldest ongoing public accounting firm in the state, has launched a firm-wide charitable giving drive challenging employees to give 1912 volunteering hours to support nonprofit organizations and communities in need.

So far, Waldron Rand employees and their families have donated almost 1,000 hours of volunteer service to organizations from the Jimmy Fund to the Alzheimer’s Association.

In August, the firm will participate in a group volunteer project at the Franklin Park Zoo – which is also turning 100. Waldron Rand employees and family members will beautify the zoo by weeding, planting, painting and making enrichment items for the animals.
