League of Women Voters to hold candidates’ night on April 1

The League of Women Voters of Needham (LWVN) is hosting Candidates’ Night on Monday, April 1 at 7 p.m. in the Broadmeadow School, 120 Broadmeadow Road, according to press release.

Candidates for town-wide office have been invited to meet Needham residents prior to the town election on Tuesday, April 9.

At 7 p.m. there will be an informal “Meet and Greet” session for all candidates for the town-wide office, followed by a forum for candidates in contested races at 7:30.

There are two contested races: Planning Board and School Committee. The format for each of this canditates' forum will include a question and answer session and closing remarks, facilitated by a nonpartisan LWV moderator.

In addition to questions from LWVN members, candidates will also answer the audience’s questions.

Rides to the polls will be offered by the LWVN between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Election Day. To request a ride please call Lindsay Acomb at 781-449-1654.
