The Residences at Wingate, a pet-friendly Needham-based senior living community, will host a "Howl-O-Ween" pet costume parade on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit Sudbury’s Buddy Dog Humane Society.

Area pet owners are encouraged to dress their pets in costume to win hundreds of dollars in prizes. Dogs, cats and all types of animal-friendly furry friends are welcome to participate.

Framingham's Knots of Fun will also be on hand to help participants create an original dog toy to take home.

The Residences at Wingate is a pet-friendly community encouraging all types of animals, according to organizers.

“The therapeutic benefits of pets are well-known and, over the last 20 years, we’ve experienced it first-hand," said Angela Plummer, director of memory care. "Our hope is that more seniors will realize the relaxation and comfort that comes with having a companion while helping to keep pets out of shelters."

The Residences at Wingate are located at 235 Gould St. To RSVP for the parade or to find out more information, call 781-455-9080.
