Book club news

Posted January 6, 2009 09:46 AM

There are dozens of book clubs in Newton, but not every one meets with its very own author. But this one does:

Newton author Alison Bass will discuss her book, Side Effects: A Prosecutor, a Whistleblower and a Bestselling Antidepressant on Trial, at a book club organized by Robin Resnick. The club will meet Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 7:30.

Resnick says her club is looking for members. You can contact her at Robin@elitepersonalfitness.com to get more details about where the club will meet and how to join.

February’s meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 10th @ 7:30pm. The book for that evening is “The Story of Edgar Sawtelle” by David Wroblewski.

March’s book is "The Space Between Us" by Thrity Umrigar.

  1. I just read Juliette Fay's debut novel, "Shelter Me" and it was INCREDIBLE.
Ms. Fay lives in Wayland, has four children and wrote this book in the wee hours of the night when I, a mother of four children, was sleeping!! Amazing--
