Not so fast: nighttime street parking is still against the rules

Posted March 17, 2009 11:27 AM

The mild weather the last few days has everyone thinking it's April. Not just because that's the start of baseball season. It also means you can start parking on the street at night.

But the city of Newton's website includes this reminder:

Newton’s Overnight Winter Parking Ban goes into effect on November 15, 2008 and ends ends on April 15th 2009. No vehicle may be parked on any street for more than an hour between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am. Newton Ordinances Chapter 19, Section 174.

  1. I heard about this from my new dog walker/sitter extraordinnaire. But, I just moved here and I don't know where it is. Can someone give me some cross streets to look for? My Husky mix will be eternally grateful.
