Newton Shockers win U 16 Minuteman Softball League title

The U-16 Newton Shockers captured the Minuteman Softball League A Division title by winning three playoff games in a single-elimination tournament.

The team members are Maya Alper, Emma Berger, Kelsey Greeley, Carrie Copacino, Annie McDonald-Swartz, Mihn-An Quinn, Kim An-Quinn, Maya Polasky and Jen Kaplan of Newton; Paris Cal and Michaela McCay of Belmont and Sarah Wright of Needham.
