A Newton educational materials company is trying to make it a little easier to learn math skills.

TenMarks Education has launched a new website, TeacherZone, to provide free math learning videos to teachers in grades 3 through 10.

“These videos are optimized to help children understand basic math skills, on subjects ranging from basic calculation to reading clocks and thermometers,’’ said spokeswoman Belinda Vandenvoort. “They’re presented in a fun way, and in a medium modern kids are very familiar and comfortable with.’’

Though the site is optimized for teacher use, Vandenvoort said, it can also be used by homeschooling parents, or anyone who wants to brush up on math skills.

TenMarks Education is also launching additional curriculum services designed for parents, and hopes to announce a new summer math program this month, she said. For more information, visit TeacherZone at teacher.tenmarks.com.
