Vandals damage 12 vehicles in Newton

Newton police are seeking the public's help today after 12 vehicles were vandalized in the early morning hours.

The vehicles, located primarily in the Newtonville area, were either scratched or had their windows or taillights broken, police said in an e-mail alert to residents.

The vehicles were parked on Beaumont Ave., Homer St., Walnut St., Elm St., and Washington St. in West Newton and Newtonville, and on Centre St. in Newton Centre.
