A taste of Newton and Needham at chamber event

The Newton Needham Chamber of Commerce has announced that its annual Spring Seasonings: Tastes of Our Neighborhood restaurant and food event will take place Monday evening, April 30 from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the Boston Marriott Newton Hotel. This annual event features samples of food and cuisine from approximately 40 restaurants across Newton and Needham.

The even is "by local restaurants, for local restaurants," said Robert Halpin, Chamber President, "we think the event will be the best one yet."

Among the restaurants that have committed to participate are:

The Chamber plans to honor Roger Berkowitzm President and CEO of Legal Sea Foods at the event in recognition of his contributions to the restaurant and food culture in metropolitan Boston. Berkowitz has also agreed to serve as the chairman of this year's Honorary Committee.
