This Thursday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., Mayor Setti Warren's series of Town Hall meetings regarding the proposed override package continues, with a meeting at the Angier Elementary School, 1697 Beacon Street, Newton.

In October, Mayor Warren proposed an override package to address Newton's critical needs in education, public safety, infrastructure, and road and sidewalk repairs.

The special election for the override has been officially approved by the Board of Aldermen to be on the ballot on March 12, the city said. In advance of that date, the city is encouraging residents to pose any questions they may have at the Town Hall meetings.

In attendance Thursday night will be Mayor Warren, Superintendent of schools David Fleishman, School Department CAO Sandy Gurion, COO Bob Rooney, CFO Maureen Lemieux, Police Chief Howard Mintz, and Fire Chief Bruce Proia.
