Veteran diplomat and prominent Middle East analyst Aaron David Miller will discuss the current issues in the Middle East, including the recent reelection of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton on Sunday.
For two decades, Miller served in the US Department of State as an analyst, negotiator and advisor on Middle Eastern issues to both Republican and Democratic Secretaries of State, according to a release from the Community Center. He is the author of the book “The Much Too Promised Land: America’s Elusive Search for Arab-Israeli Peace,” according to the release, and his writing has appeared in the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times. He is a commentator on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and NPR, according to the release.
Miller will take questions from the audience after his speech.
