Missing Newton North student Karen Douglas

The Newton Police Department is requesting assistance locating Karen Douglas, 18, a Newton North High School student last seen on Oct. 3 at around 1 p.m.

She was last seen at her home by her mother, according to telephone alert to Newton residents. Her vehicle was found unattended in Newtonville by her family Thursday night.

Douglas is 5'11" and has brown hair and brown eyes, according to a short post on Newton Police Department's Facebook page. She may be wearing a concert/music t-shirt, black yoga pants, and may have a beige sweater.

"At this time we do not believe that foul play is involved," said Lieutenant Bruce Apotheker in the phone alert. "But we are asking for your help in locating her,"

Anyone with information about Karen Douglas is asked to call 617-796-2100.
