Newton Mayor Setti Warren invites all to join him in honoring veterans at a special Veterans Day ceremony.

The ceremony will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at American Legion Post 440, 295 California Street.

The Mayor will be honoring several local veterans for their service to their country. In addition, the ceremony will feature the Newton Police and Fire Department Honor Guards, local Girl and Boy Scouts, and remarks from Joel Dooley, Director of Volunteer Services for the New England VA Health Care System.

Refreshments will be served courtesy of Whole Foods.

Following the ceremony, Mayor Warren will lead a tour of the Newton Veterans Center, also located within the American Legion Post 440.
