Romi Shamay entertained students inside the Nazzaro Community Center with giant soap bubbles.

Local schoolchildren had some good, clean fun with soap bubbles at the North End’s Nazzaro Community while learning lessons about physics and chemistry.

Romi Shamay, founder of the Israeli organization Baabua Gigantic Bubbles, appeared at the community center on Tuesday afternoon through an arrangement with the Consulate General of Israel to New England.

Born in Jerusalem in 1979, Shamay has a master’s degree in applied physics, specifically the field of optofluidics, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and presents his bubble-based lessons all over Israel.
