Norwell Police have arrested a 26-year-old Rockland woman in connection with a home burglary last week, when a coin collection was stolen from a Norwell home.

Norwell Deputy Chief Jack Suurhans said Alisha Binder was arrested Sept. 3 in Brockton after an arrest warrant was issued the day before. Brockton Police made the arrest when Binder was involved in a car accident in Brockton.

Binder was charged with breaking and entering, larceny from a building, and reckless endangerment of a child. Binder's arraignment information is currently unavailable.

Charges stem from the break-in of a house on Washington Park Drive, where a coin collection locked in a storage cabinet was stolen. The collection included 250 rolls of quarters.

Area residents told investigators a 1996 green Chevy Lumina with a female driver, a male passenger, and boy about 6 years old were spotted in the driveway of the house throwing items into the car.

A witness gave police a license plate number and the Lumina was traced to Binder.
Investigators also learned that Binder and her boyfriend were known to the Washinton Park Drive resident.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Binder's boyfriend, whose name police have not released. He has been charged with two counts of breaking and entering, vandalizing property, and reckless endangerment of a child.
