Norwell's Government Study Committee will hold two public meetings this Thursday to discuss the proposed changes to the town charter with voters.

The meetings will be at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Osbourne Room at Town Hall.

The committee's recommendations include increasing the Board of Selectmen to a five-person board; creating an independent committee to appoint Advisory Board members; and making the highway surveyor position elected instead of appointed one.

Residents will vote on these proposals as a single article at Town Meeting next Monday.
