NEWS RELEASE

A new Chicago-inspired eatery called Windy City Dogs & More will celebrated its grand opening at 43 Washington Street in Norwell on Saturday, November 3.

“Windy City Dogs & More brings a mouth-watering taste of Chi-town goodness to the South Shore,” says owner and Midwest native Grady Carlson. “Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch, dinner to go, or catering for 5 to 100 people, our extensive array of creative hot dog options, Italian Beef sandwiches, burgers and more are authentic and delicious. We feature Vienna Beef brand hot dogs, which are made with beef brisket, have that delightful snap when you bite into them.”

Windy City Dogs & More is the second location on the South Shore for Carlson. His first location, Windy City Eats in Weymouth, has quickly become a destination among hot dog lovers throughout New England for world-famous Vienna Beef hot dogs, Italian Beef sandwiches, and other Chicago favorites.

It has been recognized as a Phantom Gourmet “Great 8” and as one of South Shore Living’s “Best of the South Shore 2012.”

The famous “Chicago Dog” offers a unique interplay of hot and cold, crisp and soft, and sharp and smooth flavors. It’s nestled in a steamed poppy seed bun covered with a “salad on top”: yellow mustard, bright green relish, fresh chopped onions, juicy tomato wedges, a kosher-style pickle spear, sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt. Until Windy City Eats opened its doors, it was impossible to find them anywhere in New England.

The menu also includes a drool-inducing selection of creative hot dog and polish sausage signature specialties such as: Brazilian Dog with fresh corn, mayonnaise and crunchy potato sticks; Bob Dog with BBQ sauce, bacon, grilled onions, and cheese; Maxwell Street, a polish dog with grilled onions and mustard; and many more.

Roasted fresh daily, sliced thin and drenched in distinctive and flavorful juices, the Italian Beef sandwich comes served on a fresh Italian roll. Adding on an Italian sausage makes it a “combo.” Those who like it hot can spoon on some of Windy City’s Hot Giardiniera, then dip in shot au jus and enjoy every bite during their visit to“flavor country.”

The menu will offer something for everyone, including sausage, sandwiches, fries, onion rings, chili cheese fries, salads, a kids’ menu, and more.

People who are looking to try one of the area’s newest dining spots can stop by the Grand Opening Celebration on November 3 from 11:00am-7:00pm in Norwell (near Queen Anne’s Corner) for some tasty eats and t-shirt and gift card giveaways.

The eatery will be open Monday-Thursday, 11am-8pm; Friday-Saturday, 11am-10pm; and Sunday, 12pm-5pm. For more information, visit www.windycitydogsandmore.com, Like Us on Facebook, and Follow Us on Twitter @windycitytweats.
