5K run, or walk, for Casey Marsh this weekend
There’s still time to participate in the Casey Marsh 5K Fun Run and Walk this weekend.
Marsh, 26, is a Norwood resident and member of Norwood High’s Class of 2004 who suffered a severe brain injury in October 2007.
According to her family, the road to recovery has been much more challenging than anticipated. The annual community event raises funds to help Marsh and draw attention to the critical nature of brain injuries. All proceeds go directly to the Casey Marsh Fund.
The day kicks off at St. Timothy’s Church at 650 Nichols St. on Sunday at 10 a.m., and includes food and music after the race. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome.
For more information, contact Jim at 781-255-9609 or Kevin at 781-769-6247. The entry fee is $20 for pre-registration and same-day registration. T-shirts go to the first 100 registered participants. Additional donations are appreciated.
Race applications are available at the Norwood Civic Center and St. Timothy's. Checks should be made out to The Casey Marsh Fund.
