Snow covers fall decorations at a home in Norwood on Friday, Oct. 28.

The Norwood Police Department responded to 121 telephone calls between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday, about 20 percent of which were requests for services related to the snow storm.

Kevin Grasso, spokesman for the department, said there were power outages throughout town and officers responded to many calls about wires and trees down.

Grasso added that the department worked closely with the Norwood Fire Department and the Light and Public Works Department.

“All agencies did an outstanding job to respond to the needs of the residents during this period,” Grasso's statement said.

The Norwood Memorial Airport recorded 1.3 inches of snow between Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 and a minimum temperature of 28.9 degrees.
