A pretrial hearing for Norwood School Committee member William Plasko Jr. this morning was postponed until Feb. 27 in Dedham District Court.

Plasko, a former chairman of the School Committee, pleaded not guilty to charges in October that he broke into a woman’s home and sexually assaulted her. He was released on his own recognizance with a year-long restraining order.

In court on Friday, he was silent sitting next to his father, William Plasko, a Norwood selectman. Family and other members of the School Committee have declined to comment on the case.

Plasko Jr. stepped down from his position as chairman of the committee in October but remains a member. However, he has not participated in meetings since the incident.

The pretrial hearing was already postponed once, last November. However, prosecutors said today there are still “outstanding discoveries” and requested a new date in February.
