What's happening in Norwood this week
Here's a quick look at events and happenings taking place in Norwood this week.
Meetings: The Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 566 Washington St.
Computer Class: The Morrill Memorial Library, 33 Walpole St., will hold a free "Computer Basics" class Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Square Dancing: Norwood seniors are invited to stop by the Senior Center, 275 Prospect St. Tuesday at 9 a.m. for a morning of square dancing.
Reading Program: The Morrill Memorial Library will hold a "Beach Reads" morning review at the library Wednesday at 10 a.m. Librarians Beth Goldman and Margo Sullivan will give reviews of fiction, mystery, and other books available at the library.
Bowling: Norwood seniors can take part in a bowling day Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Norwood Sport Center, 65 Cottage St. Suite E. The cost is $6 per person and that will include three games.
Holistic Medical Training: The library will host New Horizon Health and Wellness Center of Norwood for a "Holistic Medical Training" workshop Thursday at 7 p.m. The workshop is free, but registration is requested. Call the library at 781-769-0200, extension 110 to sign up or for more information.
Mini Golf and Book Signing: Local author Anna Staniszewski will sign copies of her book, "My Very Unfairy Tale Life," at Monster Mini-Golf, 1560 Boston Providence Turnpike, on Saturday at 5 p.m. The event will also include glow-in-the-dark mini-golf for children and adults. The cost is $7 for children and $8 for adults for the mini-golf portion of the event, but the book signing free.
