Police released this image of a man they believe was involved in a shoplifting incident Monday night.

The Norwood Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in a shoplifting incident that occurred Monday night at CVS Pharmacy.

According to a news release from police, the suspect entered the store with a backpack, walked to an aisle, then left the store quickly. He then returned to the store, walked to the same aisle, and was seen putting merchandise in his bag before walking out the door.

Police said the man was questioned about what was in his bag by loss prevention, but instead of answering he pushed past them and fled from the area, leaving the bag behind.

The man was last seen getting into a black car, possibly a Honda Civic that drove out of the parking lot onto Lenox Street.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or the incident should contact the police department at 781-440-5100 or use the anonymous tip line at 781-440-5181.
