Norwood public school students return to class Sept. 6, and Superintendent James Hayden has announced the start of school schedule for that day and the rest of the year.
Parents should note that state primary voting will be taking place at Norwood schools the first day of class, and drivers should be cautious of the additional pedestrians in the area.
Kindergarten and Preschool: Orientation will be held for all kindergarten and preschool classes Sept. 6 and class will begin Sept. 7. Kindergarten classes will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the morning session of preschool will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. and the afternoon session will be from 12 to 2:30 p.m.
Elementary Schools: Norwood elementary students will begin at 8:40 a.m. and have a dismissal time of 2:55 p.m.
Middle School: Students will begin school at 7:25 a.m. and will be dismissed at 2:05 p.m. For the first day, students should enter through the side cafeteria doors, and eighth graders should head upstairs to the gym. Sixth and seventh graders should report to the cafeteria.
High School: Students will start the day at 7:20 a.m. and should report to their assigned homerooms. They will be dismissed at 2:18 p.m.
